Supreme Court Decision Seen As Possible Indicator In PA Governors Race

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that it is up to the individual states to decide the future of abortion. Here in Pennsylvania, Republican gubernatorial nominee Doug Mastriano is opposed to abortion. Democrat challenger Josh Shapiro has said he’d veto abortion restrictions.

Firefighters were called to the old PNC Bank on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard on Monday, and when they arrived they encountered a lot of smoke. The fire was contained to the underside of the roof in the drive-through area. The cause remains under investigation, but so far it is believed to be electrical.

In Edwardsville, one person was taken to the hospital after they were hit by a vehicle around 7:15 Monday evening in the area of Long John Silvers. Police say the driver of the vehicle was not hurt. No names have been released, and the condition of the person who was hit has not been updated.
