Dunmore School Threat Case Moved To Juvenile Court

The two Dunmore High School students charged for plotting a Columbine-like attack on their school have been moved to juvenile court. Originally, 16 year old Zavier Lewis and 16 year old Alyssa Kucharski were being charged as adults, but on Thursday, both cases were moved to juvenile courts.

A Lackawanna County teenager has been charged with statutory sexual assault. Scranton Police learned from a parent of a 14-year-old girl, who told them her daughter had a sexual relationship with 19-year-old, John Olmo-Reyes. Olmo-Reyes was taken into custody yesterday, when he admitted to having sex with the 14-year-old.

In Wilkes-Barre, a rabid cat was found earlier this week… on Tuesday… near the area of Crescent Avenue. Officials say anyone with a bite or other exposure to the animal should call the Wilkes-Barre City Health Department. They also say anyone with a pet that’s been recently injured in that area should contact their veterinarian.

Police in Wilkes-Barre arrested a man after another man was stabbed in the area of Academy Street and Edison Street. Razhem Smith was said to have been shirtless, trying to stab people there when police arrived. Witnesses say Smith had been drinking and doing drugs. He’s now in the Luzerne County Prison.

In Lackawanna County, State police say a woman was driving under the influence with two children in the vehicle when she was involved in a crash on I-380 in Covington Township. A 9-year-old and 1-year-old who police say were not properly restrained, were both taken to Geisinger CMC for treatment of injuries.
