A fire destroyed a home on Christmas Eve at 54 Welsh Street in Pittston. One woman was inside when the flames broke out. She made it out safety and was able to call 911 from a neighbor’s house. Firefighters had issues with the weather, as most of the water was frozen at the hydrants. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
