A possible water rate hike isn’t going over well with folks in Lackawanna County. Now, the affected residents will have a chance to comment on Pennsylvania American Water’s request for increases in water and sewer rates that if permitted, would increase the monthly water bill for the average home by about $17. The Pennsylvania PUC will hold hearings at the Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple from 1 to 3 this afternoon, and 6 to 8 this evening.
