Pennsylvania American Water has begun a $6.7 million project to replace and upgrade sewer pipes in Dunmore and Scranton. The project got underway Wednesday, and will result in improvements expected to last about 50 to 75 years at about half the price of complete pipe replacement, with less digging. There will be some traffic restrictions though, now till this fall.
