Carbondale Man Arrested For Child Porn

A Carbondale man was arrested by state police and now he is facing more than 100 counts of child pornography. 21 year old Michael Mahoski was taken into custody after police executed a search warrant at his home on Maple Avenue in Carbondale. Mahoski is in the Lackawanna County Prison, with bail set at $40,000.

A home health nurse from Wayne County is accused of stealing pills from a patient in Luzerne County. Investigators say 61 year old Diane Ellingsen of Lake Ariel, stole prescription tablets from a patient in Plains Township. Ellingsen has been charged with substance obtained by fraud, forgery, and deception.

A Lackawanna County public library is closed after a car crashed into it on Wednesday night. The Valley Community Library in Peckville was damaged bad enough that it has been forced to close until repairs can be made. Nobody was hurt in the crash.

A crash Thursday morning in Lackawanna County involved a motorcycle and a dump truck. It happened at the intersection of South Keyser and Continental Avenue in Taylor just before noon when according to a dash camera on the dump truck, the driver of the motorcycle ran a red light.
