Scranton Bank Robber Sentenced
A man involved in a 2019 bank robbery in Scranton who was caught after DNA was recovered is headed to prison. 32 year old Vasiliy Chinikaylo of Swyoersville, was sentenced Tuesday to 11 to 23 months behind bars in the Lackawanna County Prison, followed by 5 years probation. He pleaded guilty in June.

State police have identified the one-month-old girl that was found dead inside a Nanticoke home on Monday. They say Avaya Jade Rasmus-Alberto was only about a month old… she was born September 22nd and was found dead in her bassinet. The investigation is ongoing.

Flames broke out in a Luzerne County industrial park Tuesday night. Crews were called out to battle a fire in the Polyglass Warehouse in the Humboldt Industrial Park. It was out within an hour without any injuries. The cause has been ruled as an industrial accident.

A former Northeastern Pennsylvania priest who is already a registered sex offender, has been arrested again. 56 year old Robert Timchak Jr has been charged with possessing child sex abuse videos. Timchak was a priest in the Diocese of Scranton. He also served at several churches and parochial schools in the area.
