A Luzerne County man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for drug trafficking offenses involving fentanyl and cocaine. The U.S. Attorney’s Office highlighted Lamar Brown of Edwardsville’s intent to distribute large quantities of the controlled substances in Luzerne County back in July 2020.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission has finalized hunting seasons for the year but is considering the best day for the rifle deer season opener. While the opening day is set for the Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Commission is open to more research to confirm if hunters prefer this over the traditional Monday start.
