Scranton Police Detective Kyle Gilmartin, who is in a Philadelphia rehab facility after being shot twice in the head when he and other officers were ambushed in a gang related shooting, will be the guest of U.S. Congressman Matt Cartwright at the 2024 State of the Union Address on Thursday, March 7th. Gilmartin is a nine-year veteran of the Scranton Police Department and a former police officer in Duryea, Old Forge, Ashley, Wilkes-Barre, and Pittston Townships.
