Scranton Police continue investigating a reported homicide that occurred early Monday morning. First responders were called to the 1700 block of Pittston Avenue for a reported shooting around 2:55 a.m. 35-year-old Walter Reyes was taken to Geisinger CMC Hospital where he later died. 24-year-old Carlos Rivera was taken into custody. The Lackawanna County Coroner has ruled Reyes’ death a homicide.
