Road Closed Due To ‘Compromised Dam’

Route 2004 in Lackawanna County is closed between Main Street and Aberdeen Road in Madison Township due to safety concerns as crews repair a compromised dam. Officials estimate the reopening to be later this spring of 2024.

Police arrested 32 year old Tyquan Cole following a hit-and-run crash in Wilkes-Barre. Cole, believed to be under the influence of alcohol, attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. Charges including evading arrest and DUI were filed against him.
