The skies over the Poconos were illuminated by the stunning display of the northern lights over the weekend, visible to the naked eye. The auroras are typically seen only in the very northern states, and in Canada. This weekend Pennsylvania, among 17 other states reaching well into the south, had the rare opportunity to witness the celestial phenomenon.
